Comics Described

Artists get all the credit for a good comic strip, but I think it’s the writing that really makes or breaks them. To really focus on the writing, I’ve removed those pesky cartoons and will simply explain the comic strip. I think this will create a much more enjoyable experience for the reader.

Pearls Before Swine by Stephan Pastis for July 14, 2021

In panel one, Pig sees a yellow warning sign that says, "Caution, watch for children".

In the second panel, Pig's eyes widen as he finds himself surrounded by four angry children. Three of them have their fists raised while the fourth holds a baseball bat menacingly.

In the final panel, Pig has returned home. He is cut and bruised as he tells Rat, "Some signs are much too ambiguous."

Rat casually sips his coffee and replies, "Hey, they warned you."

Holy smokes that's funny! We all thought the sign meant to watch out for children while driving, but in this case it meant that there was a roving gang of evil kids out to attack you! That's comedy gold.
